Cheer! - Halloween 2015 (Shantae)

It's Halloween time again, and that's the time one is supposed to draw one's characters in other characters' outfits.  Or that's the impression I get anyway.  And when it's fun, why not?

I've only played part of one Shantae game, not having Nintendos while growing up.  I'm not even sure how many there are.  But a friend of mine pointed me to the Shantae: Half-Genie Hero kickstarter when that was going, and I decided it was cute and colorful and  worth supporting.  Since then I've played the backer preview, seen a bunch of art and just recently picked up Shantae and the Pirate's Curse, which I'm part way through.  And with Shantae on the brain, it of course entered my sketching.  Because hey!  Genies!

So this year I have the main Cheer! girls back from under the dust and dressed as Rotty Tops, Shantae and Risky Boots.  Originally I was going to have Jo as Sky, but I was running out of room on my paper and it really is much easier to draw odd numbers of characters in a shot like this.  It's a cop out, I know.  But I also figured Jo would make a good Shantae and would also probably be the best and most interested in belly dancing.  Were it not for Alex's far superior hair for the task, it might have been Sam, Jo and Lita instead.

I really ought to color this... though no time for that before Halloween, that's for sure!
